WHEN GOD BELIEVES. 090

Yesterday we discussed part of what it meant for God to be faithful, or ful-of-faith. God is not just trustworthy, someone who can be counted on, but He is also in your corner, cheering you on and believing in you.

Why would God believe in me?

Let me ask you a question, if no one would have accepted the death of Jesus would He still have died? Obviously not.

The death of Jesus shows us the extent of God's love toward us.

God knows that this love, the love manifested in Jesus' condescension and death for us --will-- produce believers, it will produce faithful people; on this basis He was confident that the death of Jesus would not be in vain.

So here is the modifier. God believes, yes, He knows, that those who accept His love are people that may fail and make mistakes but will eventually be overcomers. These He can trust and cheer on.

So though you may fail and make mistakes, when you receive the love of God in your heart day by day, God believes in you! Looking closely, we see that it is not us ourselves, but rather the power [love] of God actually accomplishing the work in us! Here we see that the source of success is God, and God can do all things BUT fail; neither does He lie (Titus 1:2).

Essentially God is betting on Himself. It is powerful because He is betting on Himself IN YOU!!!!!!!!!!

THIS BLOWS MY MIND.

It's like the best basketball player choosing 4 other toddlers to play with him against an NBA team. Or maybe the analogy could look like God being the coach, and choosing 5 toddlers to beat the NBA team, analogies fall short. Plainly stated, GOD, through you, will win; we will overcome sin and selfishness!

God, because of his love for you demonstrated in His death for you that believes you will be made fit and worthy of heaven!

I want to use this idea to reframe what the "judgement" is all about. Previously you may have thought that the judgement is about God looking down and seeing if you will overcome. Here is a slight important change I want you to make to your perception. God is allowing HIMSELF TO BE JUDGED, He is succumbing to scrutiny that evaluates if HIS LOVE CAN ACTUALLY TRANSFORM YOU LIKE HE BELIEVES IT CAN!

Revelation 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

This verse says that the hour of -His- Judgement is come. It could mean the hour where He judges and it could also the the hour in which He himself is judged!

Someone says why is God being judged????

Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

Mind blown.

Sarah -judged- God faithful! How? She judged; determined; evaluated; that God was faithful -who had promised-

God was trustworthy, but He was also believing... that if Sarah would just let Him, His promise would be ultimately fulfilled in her life; in the end -she judged Him faithful.-

God believes in you, in Him through you.

You are a vessel, God can fill you, change you, transform you, judge Him, prove Him, test Him, see if His word is true to transform. He is in your corner rooting for you. I pray these next words are as potent to you as God desires them to be,

God believes,

Do you?

IJN,

amen

Praise God ! I do believe He believes in us even as weak and wretched as we are ! Thanks for sharing this positive and vibrant message. I don’t know if it was the capital letters but we could undeniably sense your energy level :D

But can I say one thing ? It’s going to be contrary to your premise but it’s just my own conjecture based on how I understand the character of God to be. Well I think that even if God knew in advance (because He’s God) that no one on Earth would have accepted His sacrifice, He would have done it anyway. Okay maybe my viewpoint is sort of tinted by an old 16th century kind…
